Good bye Dark Spots, Hello Radiant Skin!

Posted by Edge

Dark spots are unevenly colored areas of skin that are typically darker than the surrounding skin. It can be caused by aging and sun damage, but a variety of other factors can also contribute to the development of dark spots or hyperpigmentation. Uneven skin tone is not limited to people with darker skin. It is also more common in people with lighter skin, especially as we age. Dark spots can also be caused by acne or an injury. Remember that dark spots can be caused by a number of factors, including genetics and hormones.

We all want to look our best, and that includes having clear and radiant skin. Unfortunately, there are several factors that can cause dark spots on our skin and make us look older than we really are. Thankfully, there are things you can do about it.

Preventing Dark Spots

While there is no surefire way to prevent dark spots, there are some things you can do to reduce their impact on your skin.

Avoid direct exposure to the sun's rays and wear sunscreen when you're out in the sun.

Oil-free EltaMD UV Clear helps calm and protect sensitive skin types prone to breakouts, rosacea and discoloration. It contains niacinamide (vitamin B3), hyaluronic acid and lactic acid, ingredients that promote the appearance of healthy-looking skin. Very lightweight and silky, it may be worn with makeup or alone. Choose from tinted and untinted formulas for use every day.

*
How to use: Apply liberally to the face and neck 15 minutes before sun exposure. Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating. Reapply at least every 2 hours.

Vitamin E acetate offers to regenerate and groom properties and acts as a radical scavenger. Panthenol soothes and stimulates the new formation of skin cells. Shea Butter improves the suppleness of the skin. The sun-protection product is free from Emulsifiers and Mineral Oils.

*How to use: Apply to the skin over the face care and let absorb well. Avoid mid-day sun afterward. Repeat several times when you stay outside longer in order to maintain sun protection.

A lightly tinted facial mineral sunscreen that offers cosmetically elegant sun protection with a matte finish.

*How to use: Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure.
Reapply:
- After 80 minutes of swimming or sweating
- Immediately after towel drying
- At least every 2 hours

Use serum and moisturizer that contains antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and green tea extract.
These ingredients help neutralize free radicals (the oxidants that cause damage to skin cells) before they have a chance to break down collagen fibers in the skin and create brown spots on your face.
Vitamin C: It can help fade pigmentation and smooth the skin’s surface to reduce dullness. This gives skin a youthful glow. When applied to clean skin in the morning, Vitamin C can help prevent the onset of free radical damage. We are constantly exposed to free radicals due to pollution and UV exposure, so using a Vitamin C serum under your sunscreen is an excellent defense strategy.

By combining Vitamin C - a powerful antioxidant in its purest form, L-ascorbic acid USP 10% - with exclusive M2PE technology, the absorption of the serum is multiplied and its action is optimized for a visibly more youthful and firmer appearance.

*
How to use: Apply the serum twice a day, morning and night, on cleansed and dry skin. Use a few drops where desired (face, neck, décolleté) and massage in with little effleurages.
Follow up with your usual day or night cream. In the daytime, also apply a sun product with an SPF of at least 30.

Fights free-radical damage, antioxidant, key co-factor in the production of collagen, improves skin tone and texture, calms, fights sun damage, and assists to improve pigmentation issues. This concentrated serum transforms complexions of all types. The stabilized vitamin C delivery works to prevent free radical damage, boost collagen production, soothe, and renew a healthier texture and tone. The inclusion of vitamins E and F with oxygenating ginseng complex and a plant-based brightening complex make this serum delightfully unique and effective.

*
How to use: Apply a small amount. Keep in a cool place for longer stability. Slight darkening of serum over time is normal.
Follow with your favorite emerginC  moisturizer.

Specially formulated for sensitive skin. The serum includes a highly effective combination of vitamin c ester, which is a stable form of vitamin c, as well as hyaluronic acid and Omega-3 fatty acids for visibly brighter, smoother-looking skin.

*How to use: Apply to the face, neck, and décolleté and leave on briefly to take effect. Omit the eye area. In the morning, apply sunscreen on top; in the evening, apply a moisturizing cream. Close packaging tightly after use.

Vitamin E: If you are prone to dark spots or hyperpigmentation, mixing vitamin E into your skincare routine could be beneficial. The anti-oxidative effects of vitamin E can be preventative to the darkening of the skin due to sun exposure. There are two different ways that you can use vitamin E on the skin—you can apply pure vitamin E oil to your face, or you can use a product that's formulated with the ingredient. Products containing vitamin E may be the best bet for anyone hoping to add the ingredient to their routine.

Soft serum soothes sensitive or reactive skin and improves the skin's resistance to external aggressions.

*
How to use: Apply to face and neck over a two-month period, morning and night.

A skin-protecting anti-wrinkle serum with Vitamins C and E that is the solution to fight the signs of aging. Premature aging skin results from extrinsic factors like UV exposure, lifestyle, and smoking that create free radicals. Protection against free radicals and stimulation of collagen-forming cells are needed to effectively help slow and reverse the appearance of aging.

*
How to use: On clean skin, apply once or twice a day 5 to 7 drops of serum to the entire face including the neck, or as directed by your skin care professional. You can also use it on the chest and back of your hands. On first applications, you may experience a slight tingling sensation. This is normal and will usually diminish with time.

A lightweight, ultra-hydrating cream formulated with Vitamin E. Leaves the skin feeling silky smooth while preventing pore-clogging, making it suitable to use as a makeup base.

*
How to use: Apply appropriate amount on face after applying toner and essence.

Green Tea Extract: Due to its potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, Green Tea Extract can help clear hyperpigmentation by preventing the production of excess melanin production and getting rid of dark spots.

Organic Jasmine Water is infused with antioxidant-rich Green Tea and a clarifying combination of Salicin-rich Willow Bark and Aloe Vera.

*
How to use: After cleansing, shake and spritz the green tea toner 3 to 5 times. Gently pat into skin. Follow with a Prism Serum and Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil, or Pink Cloud.

Beta Green Tea Lotion is valuable for many skin regimens due to the balance of antioxidants and repair ingredients. An ideal all-purpose skin toner to balance oil, provide antioxidant support, and offer purifying benefits for the skin.

*
How to use: Dispense 1 pump onto gauze or cotton pad and apply to clean dry skin. Let product absorb.

If you decide you want to use bleaching cream or other products with hydroquinone (a common ingredient), consult with your dermatologist first so he or she knows exactly what type of product you plan on using and how much time it takes for this element's side effects—skin thinning around the eyes—to show up after each application session is complete!

Treatments for Dark Spots

Vitamin C is a popular treatment for dark spots because it's naturally occurring in our bodies and helps stimulate collagen production which helps with wrinkles and acne scars by improving skin tone. However, it's not effective at fading away uneven pigmentation from sun damage so may not help your situation unless you've had really bad sunburns or skin cancer treatments in recent years—but maybe give it a go anyway!

Conclusion

Although dark spots are common, they do not have to be. With the right treatment and prevention strategies, you can erase these unsightly spots from your skin. Goodbye dark spots, hello radiant skin!
